Is development in the Parkland acceptable or should the wildlife take precedence?:

TDC have affixed a notice to the illegal fence which refers to Section 4 of the Town and Country Planning Act. This isn't an enforcement order but it is some kind of attempt to force Town and Country PLC to take down the gate and fence. If anybody can translate the legal jargon and give a clear explaination of what this means, please post it here!

TDC Notice on the burywell for everyones opinion on this notice

Mavis, Don't get your hopes up, according to the Gazette the planning officers are allowing the present erections to stay and our beloved chairman of the Parish council would appear to think its a fair compromise !. Remember these planning officers are the same guys who went along with the priory owners to change their 'plan' at the government inspectors enquiry at the last minute from what everyone had objected to into an 'enabling' plan. Our parish council appear to have gone silent on this matter despite the inspector coming out in support of the priory. There again as the enabling policy states planning permission WILL be granted, not 'may' or 'could' I guess the parish council hasn't got a leg to stand on and Spring road and Daltes Lane will soon be awakened by the sound of JCB's and cement mixers.

So the battle is lost? the village will never be the same again, plus it stinks that something which gets turned down by planning three times, still happens. Seems like we all might as well start building things, and erecting illegal fences as demonstrated by the Priory owners!!!

seems from what I have further heard that the planning officers consulted a QC and they were advised not to put an enforcement order on the present erection !! - GREAT, but when will the planning officers come and speak to the village in an open public meeting along with the Parish Council to discuss the next steps (especially the inspectors report on the enquiry) or does something like calling for a vote of confidence in our elected representatives have to take place before something is done about our public servants (planning officers) ?? Its a pity nothing seems to have been done by the PPFT on New Years Eve just to try and tell guests what the village thinks of the owners of the Priory, but there again thanks to bad press (I wonder who really wrote those articles ?) the village busy bodies thinking diplomacy can work against these sort of people, and plod getting the wrong end of the stick, they seem to have disappeared into the blue yonder..... Mavis it would appear the battle is lost unless someone in authority calls an open public meeting (not one for invited guests !!)
