The Inspectors Report

I would suggest everyone tries to get their heads around the government inspectors report on the local plan. It looks as if we have been 'stitched up' as not only does the inspector agree with the C&G group wanting to develop 'tourism facilities, affordable housing, employment development, improved access to the beach, habitat restoration' (Which in the end will probably mean another caravan site or dirty great big hotel and golf course, 5 bedroomed exclusive houses, office blocks, another road to the beach putting pressure on the crossroads in summer, oh and possibly a bird box on a tree) on the Spring Road/Daltes Lane Site. The inspector refers to the Enabling policy (which is scary enough reading when it says 'planning permission WILL be granted). The inspector also refers to parties putting forward an agreed form of words for a new Site Specific Policy and text. Well we probably won't get these words from the Seargeants, so isn't it about time our wonderful planning officers came and explained themselves to the parish council. I repeat yet again that these guys are PUBLIC SERVANTS who appear to have agreed something with the Priory owners without consultation with at least the parish council let alone the residents of the village. WE pay their wages so its about time THEY explained themselves and also published this policy and text.
