Village Green Status

For my two penneth, hypothetically speaking if the Bury is the village green then we should have it registered and be done with it. If the village can prove 20 years of un-hindered use, the Bury could be classed legally as the village green, therefore protecting it from whom ever owns the priory for ever.

This is the view of the Bury

This is the view of the Bury from Google, showing how it has always been used as a piece of the village, and is it not worth fighting for all residents in St Osyth, not only for residents but to all the visitors to the village to help with the local economy???

The Bury from Google

A camera to film a big

A camera to film a big erection in the village. Society is falling apart. The Sargeants have to take the blame.

we don't sit on the fence

I'm sure as property

I'm sure as property developers the Sargeants know about caveat emptor (buyer beware). They knew vehicles and the public used the Bury when they bought the property. So why wait until now ? Their surveyor conducted a survey to work out the costs of renovation just after they bought the Priory (I have an email from English Heritage stating the same) so why have they left buildings in disrepair whilst trying and as I understand managing to buy property in Mill Street?. Are they hoping some of the buildings will become such wrecks that they will get EH approval to flatten such things as barns and erect some modern replica with residential/commercial use ?. What we need to have is a public meeting and invite along firstly TDC planning officers to explain why they supported the last minute change at the local enquiry by the Sargeants and explain what it is. Also the local police should be invited to explain why (as I understand it) they supplied the spy camera when over many years there has been vandalism to the various play areas and they have done nothing. Both these organisations are public servants paid for by us council tax payers or is it judged on how big your property is as to how much influence you have on those in authority ? My children have been denied the use of their park during their summer holidays thanks to the mindless few in the village and thanks to no security camera, but put up an illegal erection which inflames the village and all of a sudden Big Brother appears. What sort of world are we living in ? Scoot
